Workshop on applicability of policy mix

On 21st Aug, workshop on applicability of policy mix was held in Mondial Hotel, Hue city. Thua Thien Hue Province, Quang Tri Province, Quang Binh Province, Da Nang city, Hoi An city attended the workshop and discussed the future policy in their provinces.

Seminar on the possibility of source separation in Hanoi

On 19th August Wednesday, seminar on source separation was held in Hanoi URENCO, chaired by Prof. Yoshifumi Fujii with the participation of Hanoi URENCO, Unit A and representative of ATI, MoC.

Mr. Norihisa Hirata, a Japanese expert, made presentations on review of challenge of the source separation in Hanoi, and also impact of the source separation toward solid waste management cost. 

Mr. Dao Duc Khanh, Vice Director of Ba Dinh Branch, Hanoi URENCO also made a presentation about recent trials to improve collection system in Hanoi.

Seminar concluded that we need to motivate collection companies to make compost, and share and report the result of cost-benefit from the pilot activities of URENCO by using model of JET, to DOC and HPC.  

Interim consultation meeting for SWM Master Plan in Thua Thien Hue Province

Interim consultation meeting for SWM Master Plan in Thua Thien Hue Province was held on 12th Aug, 2015. Thua Thien Hue PPC, DOC and other related departments attended this meeting and made discussions.

Master plan of Thua Thien Hue Province is going to be approved by PPC by December 2015.

Courtesy visit to New General Director of Hanoi URENCO

We made a courtesy visit to new General Director of Hanoi URENCO, Mr. Le Anh Tuan.

Hanoi URENCO is now planning to shift from handcart to mechanical collection vehicles in the model area and we will collaborate in this project.

We also discussed the workshop planned in October about septic tank sludge and drainage sludge treatment, and soil treatment containing Bentonite, construction waste, soil discharged from subway construction in Hanoi.
