Trial test for septic tank sludge treatment plant in Cau Dien has been started since this week by Hanoi URENCO.
The operation is supposed to be launched after 1 month.

Construction waste transfer station in Hanoi

Hanoi URENCO is currently operating 3 construction waste transfer stations in main 4 Districts of Hanoi.

During our 15 minutes stay in one transfer station of Hai Ba Trung District, 2 handbarrows and 1 motorbike came to bring about 6 construction waste bags respectively.

However, these transfer stations in Hanoi seem to disappear in the near future due to increase of urbanization.

Construction waste landfill sites in Ha Noi

Visited 2 construction waste landfill sites in Hanoi, Van Noi landfill - Dong Anh and Vinh Quynh landfill - Van Dien.

Van Noi landfill with the capacity of 90 ha is operated since Nov, 2007 and currently remains the capacity of 20 ha. Since June 2009, construction waste transported to Van Noi landfill is identified by weigh bridge. 

Vinh Quynh landfill is operated since April 2010, with the capacity of 55 ha and currently remains 10.8 ha.

Internal Opinion Exchange Meeting

This meeting was held to share the progresses of each task forces, contribute to other task forces by exchanging opinions, and review solutions by external comments. Prof. Yoshifumi Fujii attended this meeting as a project advisory.

Soc Son complex site in the north area of Hanoi is now facing urgent issue, that is, landfill site of Phase I (83ha) will be completed by the end of this year.

Source separation survey in Hanoi

Source separation survey in Hanoi has been conducted on 16-23 Aug, 2014 by Dr. Kosuke Kawai, project advisory, and some volunteers from National University of Civil Engineering. 

We also joined in the survey to review 3R project from 2006 to 2009.
